Spring may be right around the corner, but I'm still really enjoying winter! I love soup, hot drinks, comforters, my cozy bed and cats snuggling up to me to keep warm. For me, spring means insanely bad allergies, neighbors using noisy lawnmowers, stink bugs (does anyone else have them? ahh they're so annoying!) and less soup. Anything that causes less soup can't be all that great. The idea of more watermelon and strawberries makes me a little less hostile towards spring, but man I really love soup.

As spring draws closer I've been finding myself more and more drawn to deep, dark tones. I usually go for bright colors and pastels, subconsciously matching my outfits to my pink hair, but I suppose my clinging-on-for-dear-life attachment to winter must be affecting my current taste in clothing as well.

You can't really tell in the photos, but the tights are bright blue. I really haven't been wearing my colored rights often enough lately, and pretty soon it'll be so hot that I won't be able to wear any tights at all! I'm not a giant fan of all the snow we're getting this winter, but I'm not actually looking forward to spring at all. I'm cursed with the worst allergies ever. I had an allergy test before we adopted Chloe, and I swear I'm allergic to the planet. Trees, dust, flowers, grass, dirt, basically everything they tested came out positive. Zyrtec helps curb my cat allergies in the winter but it's not strong enough when spring comes around to keep the blossoming earth from attacking and invading my eyes, ears and nostrils :p Is anyone else on Zyrtec indefinitely? I've been on it for about 8 years and if I miss even one day I get so itchy, my eyes water and I sneeze ten times a minute. I'm a mess without it!!

warm and toasty

I was feeling particularly freezing tonight, bundled up in two sweatshirts with fingerless mittens in front of my computer, so I decided to put together a little treasury to make me think warm thoughts. If you're feeling particularly chilly as well, perhaps this will help you too! :)
