my horn can pierce the sky

Any Office fans get the title? ;)

I have so much to get done before my trip I'm going to need the vacation even more when Saturday finally rolls around! I've made a significant dent in my to-do list but it seems to just keep growing anyway. Yikes! And it's mostly just things I have to do, nevermind all the little projects and things that I want to do. I think that's the only part of being overwhelmed that really bothers me - having to put aside any good idea or sudden burst of inspiration in favor of things that need a check mark next to them.

I've been adding heaps of new products to sweet and lovely lately so I think it's about time for a little shop update! This is actually just a small sampling of the new additions, there are oodles more on the New Arrivals page, including St. Patrick's Day jewelry, a few Pi Day items and lots of new sweater clips! Also all of my new ice cream products are available as sweater clips and brooches in mint chocolate chip, vanilla, sprinkles and strawberry. If your favorite flavor isn't available, drop me an email.. maybe I can whip up a special batch just for you! ;)

look what I made #4: unicorn dress!

dress - handmade by me! :D
belt - from another dress
collar - romwe
shoes - c/o bait

I saw this sheet on etsy last week, and I immediately thought, "I need to make this into a dress!!! Now!!" I actually sewed it up the day that the fabric arrived in the mail, I was so anxious and excited! :D I love how it came out, and I have enough material leftover to make some pillows too!

I used the New Look pattern 6020 for the bodice, and then I just gathered a bunch of fabric for the skirt. I'm still getting the hang of sizing (you wouldn't want to see how big it is without the belt, lol!) but I'm learning as I go along :)

ps. Do you spot Hubble in the photo above? Cat photobomb!
