I'm obsessed with these cat wall decals from emerging thoughts! I ordered a set in gold but I have a feeling I'll be back for more in other colors, too.

Modcloth is having their first sale of the gift-giving season! Over 1,000 items are marked down at least 20%, including these three pretty dresses! Watch out, wallet...

This paper mache cat head is probably the best wall decoration ever. Imagine it on a wall that's also covered in the cat head decals above. (There is no such thing as too many cats)

This is a set of gold letters so you can spell out anything you'd like, but honestly I'd probably choose the same exact sentiment. Staying in is awesome.

Best sugar bowl ever! I have a matching teapot so I think maybe I need this too..

I love the color of this lady tie!! I really need to get more colors because I get sad when I don't have one that matches my outfit. If they came in a set with every color of the rainbow I'd snatch that up in a heartbeat.

These balconies are so adorable!! I found it on pinterest linking back to tumblr (the point of no return..) does anyone know where this is?

I don't even care if Halloween is over, I want these zombie lawn flamingos.

If you haven't seen this yet, you need to watch it! Aziz Ansari gives an idea of what a marriage proposal would look like if we weren't already familiar with the concept. It's definitely the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I ended up watching his whole Netflix special after seeing this clip (I also love him as Tom on Parks & Rec!) and it was pretty fantastic!

I'm in love with these pretty wooden bow ties from ladybird likes!

This time of year I come down with the worst coat obsession. The fact that these (and all of the coats at modcloth) are on sale 25% off today just feeds the obsession even more ;) The sale ends tonight at midnight, just enter code "BRRR25" at checkout.

It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas decorations! Especially since I'm going to have a whole apartment to decorate this year :) I think I'm definitely getting this adorable advent calendar from Alice Apple!

Best Halloween costume, ever!

An assistant editor on Breaking Bad put together a "Breaking Bad on Ice" show! You can see the whole thing here.

I think I included cat socks last week but there's no such thing as too many cat socks, especially when said socks have ears.

A little pup dressed like the house from Up! My heart is bursting!

I need this pink fluffy coat in my life so badly.

The Paley Center X-Files event that I missed earlier this month was posted on youtube so I got to see it! I would have much rather been there (obviously!) but it was pretty fun watching the video too :) At one point Gillian Anderson accidentally called David Duchovny "Mulder" and my heart cried tears of joy.

I love this post from Marianne about why she loves vintage.

pink cat socks!! super cute cat dress!!

I love these galaxy print heels, and I love them even MORE after seeing this awesome post from Churrts at The Astronista explaining just what makes cosmic prints look so out of this world.

Last month there were 80 custom painted Gromit sculptures on display in the UK and then auctioned off for charity. I wish so much I could have seen this! Me and my family are big Wallace and Gromit fans! Image via Candy Pop

I want to get this sweater and embroider unicorn horns on all of the horses..

AMC has some ads and design sketches from the Sterling Cooper portfolio on their site. This and the Belle Jolie one are my favorites! I miss Mad Men!

Basically if Mindy Kaling's name is on it, I'll buy it.

Katie's Bjork swan costume is the best thing EVER.

I'm a sucker for anything with scallops.. and this one comes in two colors!! ps. my all time favorite scalloped dress is on sale at modcloth now!

I adore this greeting card from extracurricular activities! I want to get one to frame :)

This is so pretty! I'm tempted to go get some fake flowers and dress up my own car bumper!

Mint green cat shoes. 'nuff said.

I LOVE The Oatmeal's new comic about Columbus Day!

Amy Poehler and Jon Hamm thew an "Emmy Losers Party" this year and I think it's one of the coolest things ever. They seem like such good sports!

Danielle from Kitschy Digitals has a really neat (and free!) Halloween printable to get all of your household portraits in the holiday spirit!

Peter Pan + galaxy print = one of the coolest dresses ever.

These confetti pops are so awesome! I think if cat-friendly confetti existed I'd be throwing it around my home all the time. They're available from Emerging Thoughts who, by the way, are also carrying The Hypatia dress now!! eep!

I think I need this sweater and these socks are so neat!

This is such a clever DIY idea! Recycle old VHS plastic cases into a one of a kind clutch!

I am definitely doing this awesome David Bowie skull project when I decorate my apartment for Halloween!

I sent Danielle a painting and she took a picture with it in the same outfit!! :D

I'm going to Disney World again next month so naturally that means shopping for the perfect Disney attire ;) I think these polka dotted pretties from Ever + Mi Crush would be so fitting for the happiest place on earth. ps. They're having a huge sale at the moment! You can check it out here :)

These works of art created with food are amazing! There's a bunch if you click through! Found via Jena Ardell

This etsy seller created a scale model version of The Golden Girls set!!
Holy cheesecake, batman!! :D

I recently learned that there is an annual Hemingway lookalike contest and it's my new favorite thing ever. (that's the real one in the picture, you can click here to see the lookalikes!)

I am so in love with this dress!! It reminds me of one of my all time favorites (this one!)

I bookmarked this a few weeks ago for a future friday favorites post (that I obviously didn't get around to until today) and since then I think I've seen it on at least 10 different websites, but I still wanted to share in case someone hasn't seen it yet. This artwork was created by a 97 year old man in Windows 95 MS Paint. Seriously.

Not only did Solanah create a Supernatural themed novelty print fabric, but she made it into one of the coolest dresses ever AND did a Supernatural themed photo shoot in said dress. (!!!!!)

Miss Alison-Claire recently re-launched her vintage etsy shop as Wolf Mama Vintage and there is retro awesomeness abound. I'm dying over this sweet little gingham top! Look at the collar! And you can take 30% off with code WOLFMAMA. yay!

First of all, I love this print by Katie Daisy. I thought it would be the perfect image to accompany this NY Times article. Author George Saunders gave the convocation speech at Syracuse University this year and focused --sweetly, humorously, and eloquently-- on the importance of being kind. If you have a moment definitely give it a read.

Finally, how amazing is this video? They pieced together satellite images of Earth taken over the last three decades to show how the surface of the planet has changed over time. It's awe-inspiring that we have this kind of technology and can see the evolution of our home on this kind of scale... but, to me at least, it's also sad to see how much open space disappears in the time-lapse. My own hometown was mostly farmland when I was born, and now it's almost completely developed. Even my own house was built on land that, until 1992, was a fully functioning farm. But I think that being able to get this kind of perspective affords us a luxury that previous generations didn't have. We can see what we're doing to the planet, so we can change it.
