My closet sale is LIVE now! Please note that even though I'm doing this on Poshmark this time, I priced everything as low as I'm willing to go, so I'm not accepting offers. I'm really, really hoping to raise enough money from this sale to give my mom a down payment for a car for Mother's Day so even if you're not my size or don't see anything you're interested in please pass on my Poshmark link to anyone you know who might be interested :) My mom is super awesome and I really want to be able to do this for her :)

I've been planning this shop my closet sale for what feels like a year now, and I am FINALLY doing it!! Tomorrow me and my brother are going to shoot all the photos and I'll start listing them either tomorrow night or Thursday morning. I'm going to be using Poshmark this time, and you can keep an eye on my account here. I'll also put up alerts on all my social media accounts when everything is listed, too :)

I am going to be listing mostly dresses and tops in sizes US 8 and Medium. And shoes in a size US 7. I'm hoping to scrape up enough money to give my mom a down payment for a car for Mother's Day, so the items will be priced to sell! :D

Another closet sale update!

Hey! I just added 24 more dresses and 24 pairs of sunglasses to my closet sale!

I promise I'll be posting something other than closet sale updates here sometime soon lol. As you can probably guess by the fact that I've been selling off 99% of my wardrobe, I've had some financial woes lately so I haven't been doing much (read: any) online shopping. Ergo, no wishlist wednesdays or new dresses to share with you guys. Sad face!

I'm thinking about doing some kind of closet challenge to make me feel better about the few things I have left in my closet. Like a 30 piece/30 day remix? Maybe.

Anyway! You can shop the sale right here. The dresses are still $25 a pop and any order of 2 or more dresses ships free. Sunglasses are all $5 each. Go, go, go! :)

The first batch of shop my closet items are FINALLY ready. The sale will go live tomorrow, August 8th, at 7PM EST at katesclosetsale.com.

The sale includes 76 dresses, all priced at $25 each. The sale is US only (sorry International friends!!) and if you buy any 2+ dresses you get free shipping. Almost all of the dresses are US8 or M/L with a handful of exceptions. The store is hosted by Shopify, so you can pay with Paypal, Apple Pay, or credit card. The site is mobile friendly, too, so even if you're on the go at 7PM tomorrow you can still shop the sale!

This sale includes some of my all-time favorite dresses (like this Darling dress) that are SO hard to part with, so I hope they find good homes! xo

I just updated my shop-my-closet store with about 35 new items and reduced the price on the 20 or so items that have been sitting in there for a while. Lots of spring cleaning going on over here! ;) You can take a peek right here!

I'm actually leaving on my road trip TODAY! eep! I'm going to bring along anything that doesn't sell immediately so that I can still mail it from the road. However.. if you're thinking of getting something from the closet update, buying it before 11AM EST would ensure I can ship it before I leave. It just means you get it quicker and I don't have to stuff more clothes into my car than I'd like to, lol ;) I already have waaaaay too many dresses in my own suitcase haha!

I went through my closet this week and purged some stuff that I've either never worn or know I'll probably never wear again, and ended up with about 30 pieces! It's all up for grabs here. Hurry and get things before I change my mind and take them back down lol ;)

I priced everything super cheaper than what I actually paid, just because I really don't have the time to do individual measurements for this batch. But for reference, basically everything (except the one size small shirt) fit me and I'm 37" - 28" - 40" and I'm 5' tall. Some things fit better than others, but I mentioned if anything ran small or large in the description. If you really really really need a measurement on something let me know, but please only ask if you're 100% serious about purchasing.

Just a little shop my closet update! I got my modcloth sale order in the mail today and these beauties didn't quite work out as well as I hoped. The one on the far left is bee-you-tee-full but needs to go home with a girl who's slimmer in the hips department.

First of all, I finally updated my shop my closet store today! I have lots of dresses, as well as some accessories and coats. And if you're in the market for blog design or a sponsor spot you can snag those in my shop as well :)

I also added new wooden brooches to my etsy shop! I'm having one of those little "in love with my new product" moments. Would it be weird if I wore one myself? Because I really want to! They're $8 in my shop here!

Blog overhaul design for Just Add Glitter and Stir. I was so excited about this one that I sort of did the whole entire thing the same night that I got Maggi's order. I mean, a request for a bright kitschy glittery blog?! So so so so fun!!! :D My favorite part is the embroidered header text (you can see it better when you view it full-size on her blog!)

And finally, my little brother's blog! He hasn't written his first post yet, but it's going to be about food, trains, craftsmanship (like woodworking) and his personal style. When he gets the ball rolling we're going to start doing some brother/sister style posts! I'm so excited about it!! :)

Ever since I got this collar, I've been tempted to wear it every day. It's just the perfect accessory, and it's amazing how well it matches almost everything I own. Except for dresses that already have their own collars, it pretty much goes with everything in my wardrobe! I'm beginning to think detachable collars were the greatest fashion invention ever.

I bought this dress in a large last December, and it was a little too loose on me then, and even more so now since I've lost some weight this year. So when it went on sale last week (just a 24 hour twitter sale, it's back to regular price now) I decided to snatch up a medium. I think it's my favorite dress... I just love it so much, and I'm so glad it actually fits now!! It's too late for me to return the large though, so if anyone wants it, it's in my shop my closet section. It actually still has the tag on too, since I only wore it once for a PFF post and forgot to take the tag off ;) Still, I reduced the price by about $40.. I just want to recoup what I paid for the new medium dress that was on sale. (If that made any sense to you, congratulations! I swear sometimes I don't even understand my own sentences.)

ps. I'm thinking of replacing my style idol series with something else but haven't actually come up with any ideas yet... suggestions are very welcome! :)

I used to have clothing for sale on my downsizing blog, but that's really more for crafty supplies & Sinatra memorabilia, so I thought I'd move the clothes over here instead. I took new photos of everything, with me wearing the items so it's easier to see what it really looks like on. I only listed about 20 or so things so far, but I have a huge pile of stuff I still need to photograph, so hopefully I'll have more added in the next week or two :) Also, if you see something you want, and would like to trade with something from your own shop-my-closet-page, I'd love that!
