Giveaway: Two pretty polished sea glass rings [closed]

J from My Life in Lavender is offering one lucky girl two super pretty polished sea glass rings! I love them both so much (that sage green is too lovely!) but I can imagine fiddling with the blue ring on my finger all day long, dreaming about the ocean and its gorgeous shades of blue. Just looking at the photo makes me think of the sound of waves crashing against the shore.

What you'll win: Two polished sea glass rings - one green, one blue.

seventy five

My grandmom is turning 75 today, so my mom has a whole week of little day trips planned to celebrate. Yesterday we went to The Cloisters in New York for the first time. If you're not familiar, it's a part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to Medieval architecture and artwork. It was built in the 1930's to resemble medieval monasteries, and there are actually parts of the building, like two chapels and a couple cloisters, that were brought over from Europe, so they're actually from the 12th-15th century! For me, my brother and my grandmom, this was especially exciting since we've never been overseas. So these were the oldest structures we've ever seen!

It's absolutely breathtaking there. It was quiet and peaceful, and a bell rang out to mark the hours. The gardens were especially beautiful, and they had herbs growing so the scent was amazing! The weather was gorgeous, not too hot, and the rain held out until after we left. It was definitely one of the loveliest, most serene days I've ever experienced.

red and lilac with a smidgen of awkwardness

The other day I was able to explain the reason for an unusual pose (I was paying attention to a bug on my wall) but honestly I have no explanation for this. Just standing awkwardly for no reason whatsoever. And when I went back through my pictures hours after I'd already taken them (because it would be silly to check them while I'm still dressed, so I could retake the photos if necessary. so silly.) this was the best one ;p

Anyway, I liked the outfit A LOT even if my pose is completely strange. I keep trying to come up with new ways to wear lilac since it's quickly becoming one of my favorite colors, and I love how it looks paired with red! I special ordered this lady tie from Flapper Girl since I wanted a longer one that I could wear with more of my dresses, and I love it to pieces! I already ordered another long one in mint green :D
