follow the fleet

Yesterday Sammi from The Soubrette Brunette (aka the queen of finding cute clothes!) pinned the most adorable dress on pinterest, and when I clicked through I found Fleet -- a shop with an overwhelming amount of pastel goodness! Look at these! I think the powder blue and lilac ones are my favorites but honestly I want every single dress they sell. I just had to share, these are too pretty not to! :D

my little pony

This is BY FAR one of my favorite dresses ever now. I only got it in the mail about a week ago, and I think I've already worn it four times! It's comfy, it fits like a glove and it's the prettiest shade of purple!

Basically I look like a human version of My Little Pony with this outfit and my pink hair, and I love it! Sometimes I think I'm really just a grown up who never got over playing dress-up. 7 year old me would have absolutely flipped out over this outfit! I would have wanted to wear it while playing Pretty Pretty Princess.

the prettiest pastel frock

I know I say this A LOT but I think this is my favorite dress. Reasons:

1. It is a shirt dress. I'm becoming very smitten with shirt dresses lately! They're so flattering, and I like that they have okay-for-summer sleeves, which is great for someone like me who has a hard time giving up cardigans when it gets hot out.

2. It has a cute dainty little collar that works perfectly with my lady ties!! I love them so much that I've been actively looking for things with collars so that I can wear them more often.

3. It is SO soft!! When I wear it out and it starts to fall apart, I'm turning it into a pillowcase. And then I'm going to use that pillowcase until IT falls apart.

4. It is pastel. DUH.

here comes peter cottontail

dress - h&m
belt - vintage
tights - we love colors
shoes - from my grandmom

Confession: I like to dress like a giant easter egg. It probably stems from my mom dolling me up in light pink tights, white shoes and the most pastel dress in my closet to go over my grandmother's for easter when I was little. I lose any sense of balance with dark and light, on easter there is no such thing as too much light pink, or too much light green. Even my nails are painted all different pastel shades. I'm terribly literal when it comes to dressing for holidays. It's awfully cornball, but I honestly don't care. I love wearing red and green on Christmas, and black and orange on Halloween :)

We're going over my grandmom's today... me and my brother have the hardest time containing our laughter when we're there because my grandmom is really OCD about easter egg hunts. She writes down where she puts each egg, then follows us around with the pad to check off when we find each egg. If we're not finding them fast enough, she starts trying to direct us to the right spots so we can speed things up and eat dinner. It's equally odd and hilarious, but probably one of the best family traditions we have ;-D

Do you want to comment, but have no idea what to say? Trust me, I've been there! So to make things a little easier, here is a question you can answer if you can't think of anything else to say! :)

If you had a pet bunny, what would you name it?
